Cesena have marked their return to Serie A by claiming a 1-0 victory over Parma this evening.
The hosts took the lead in the 38th minute when Franco Brienza's cross was headed in by Alejandro Rodriguez.
They almost grabbed a second moments later, but Brienza saw his powerful effort tipped over by Antonio Mirante.
Rodriguez was close to scoring again shortly after the break, but his close-range attempt was saved by the keeper.
Amauri wasted the chance to equalise for Parma in the closing stages after firing a strike wide of the post, as Cesena held on to claim all three points.
