The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Chelsea eye possible reinforcements.
The Blues failed to bring in a single player during the January window, despite seeing their transfer ban cut short by FIFA, but have already been busy this summer.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Sunday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:
Chelsea 'to offer Michy Batshuayi new contract'
Chelsea are reportedly hopeful of tying Michy Batshuayi to a new contract before sending the centre-forward on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
The Belgium international only scored once in 16 Premier League appearances for the Blues last season and his future has been the subject of speculation in recent months.
According to The Sun, Chelsea want to offer the 26-year-old a new £100,000-a-week deal to prevent him from leaving on a free transfer next summer, but the attacker is likely to spend next season away from the club.
The report claims that Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United are all interested in a loan deal, but the majority of Batshuayi's wages will have to be paid by the side that takes him.
Palace are believed to be the favourites for the Belgian, who spent the second half of the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Selhurst Park, scoring five times in 11 Premier League outings.
Timo Werner's summer arrival has pushed Batshuayi further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United to consider Pau Torres move?
Manchester United could reportedly move for Villarreal defender Pau Torres this summer.
The Red Devils are allegedly in the market for a new central defender due to the uncertainty surrounding the futures of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.
RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but it is understood that the Frenchman will not be joining the Red Devils before the October deadline.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side could consider a move for Villarreal's Torres in the coming weeks.
The 23-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for the Yellow Submarine, contributing two goals and two assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.
The Spain international, who has also previously been linked with Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona, is believed to have a €50m (£45.6m) release clause in his current deal at Estadio de la Ceramica.
United are due to start their 2020-21 Premier League season at home to Crystal Palace on September 19.
