The summer transfer window has now closed, with Chelsea among the busiest clubs and biggest spenders in world football.
After two windows without signing a single player, the Blues made up for lost time by splashing well over £200m on the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva. Attention will now switch to the January window and whether Chelsea will invest heavily again.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Thursday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United 'in hunt for Bayern Munich's David Alaba'
Manchester United are reportedly in the race to sign Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.
The Red Devils are understood to be in the market for a new centre-back in future windows, with Alaba just as capable playing in the heart of defence as he is on the left-hand side.
The 28-year-old is entering the final six months of his contract with the Bavarian giants, and the club have supposedly withdrawn their latest offer of a new deal for the versatile defender.
According to SportBild, United are eyeing a move for the Austria international, who supposedly dreamed of a move to Old Trafford during his days as a youth player.
However, Alaba is believed to be a man in demand, with the report stating that Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all in the hunt for the defender's signature.
Alaba has been a key player for Hansi Flick's side this term with 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and setting up another.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'is an admirer of Declan Rice'
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly 'rates' West Ham United's Declan Rice amid suggestions that the Red Devils are keen to bring a new defensive midfielder to the club.
The 20-time English champions are said to be targeting four signings over the next two transfer windows, and a new central midfielder is allegedly high on the club's wishlist ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer is an admirer of Rice, although it remains to be seen whether the club actively attempt to sign the England international.
The 21-year-old was strongly linked with a return to Chelsea over the summer, but the Hammers are thought to have made it clear that they will not entertain offers of under £80m.
Rice, who is also now an important player for England, has not missed a single minute of Premier League football for West Ham this season and has worn the captain's armband in all but one of their 12 league games.
The former Chelsea youngster has a contract at the London Stadium until June 2024.
