Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque has hailed the performances of midfielders David Silva and Juan Mata during his side's 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic yesterday evening.
Chelsea's Mata opened the scoring in sixth minute, before Xabi Alonso sealed the points before half-time by converting a cross from Manchester City playmaker Silva.
After the match Del Bosque revealed that he was pleased with the performance of his midfield players, while reserving special praise for the Premier League duo.
"We started very strongly and at the end we let go, but we had controlled the match," the coach told the Spanish Federation's official website. "Our midfielders were able to dominate the entire game.
"Silva and Mata are very important players. They link up well in midfield. They had a great game."
Spain have a 100% winning record in their qualifying group with seven wins from seven matches.
