Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater has been ruled out of Saturday's meeting with West Ham United due to illness.
After being an unused substitute for the Champions League draw with Atletico Madrid, Drinkwater had been in contention to start in the lunchtime kickoff at the London Stadium.
However, head coach Antonio Conte has revealed that the summer signing will not be able to take part against their city rivals.
The Italian told reporters: "Danny Drinkwater is out, because he's sick. This is the third day with a fever."
Drinkwater has been limited to three starts and six substitute appearances since signing from Leicester City on deadline day.
