Maurizio Sarri has said that he is hopeful Spanish forward Pedro did not suffer a serious shoulder injury in Chelsea's 1-0 win over PAOK.
The Blues lost the 31-year-old in added-on time following a collision with the opposition goalkeeper to put a slight dampener on an otherwise positive evening in their opening Europa League group match.
Pedro was starting his sixth game of the season for Chelsea, having become a regular on the right-hand side, and manager Sarri is remaining positive that the ex-Barcelona ace will not spend a prolonged time on the sidelines.
"I don't know exactly the situation," he told reporters. "I spoke for a few seconds, but that it probably is not a serious injury."
Pedro has already netted three Premier League goals this season, leaving him one short of his tally for the entire of 2017-18.
