Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has suggested that he may not finish the season with the Blues after months of speculation over his future.
The 32-year-old has been linked with a switch away from Stamford Bridge, with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua taking a reported interest in the frontman.
While an exit from the former Premier League champions is likely, the ex-Bolton Wanderers forward has admitted that he would like to stay with Andre Villas-Boas's side until the end of the season.
"I love playing here," The Times quotes Anelka as saying.
"Chelsea has been the best part of my career and it's been great playing and winning with terrific guys like Didier Drogba, John Terry, Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda.
"I was hoping to win another league title this season, but now apparently it is not to be."
The future of teammate Drogba has also been called into question after reports emerged linking the striker with a move to MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy.
