Chelsea have reportedly taken steps for Mason Mount to be included on the club's pre-season tour of Japan.
Mount is one of a number of Chelsea's academy prospects to impress out on loan during the current campaign, and the 20-year-old has contributed eight goals and four assists from 35 outings for Championship outfit Derby County.
According to The Sun, Mount's performances in the second tier have led to Maurizio Sarri being prepared to hand the youngster an opportunity to impress ahead of next season.
The report claims that Chelsea have applied for a visa to be given to Mount, with the club scheduled to play two friendlies in Japan during July.
Mount could still be loaned out to another Premier League club, although much will depend on whether Chelsea are successful with their bid to overturn a transfer ban.
