Alex to hold talks with QPR?

QPR are to hold discussions with Chelsea defender Alex over a possible move, according to reports.

Chelsea defender Alex is believed to be closing in on a move to Premier League rivals Queens Park Rangers.

The Brazilian centre-back is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this month after his transfer request was accepted by the former Premier League champions in December.

While QPR are believed to be pursuing their interest, the 29-year-old has claimed that he would prefer a move to Santos who, along with Juventus, are monitoring the defender's situation, according to the Daily Mail.

Alex comes to the end of his contract this summer and could be sold for £2m this month.
