Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a £7m move for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill in January.
Speculation has surrounded the 25-year-old's future, with North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur being heavily linked with the centre-back in the summer.
The Blues have now entered the fray and could clinch the England international at a cut price since Cahill's deal expires at the end of the season, according to The Mirror.
While Bolton would prefer to hold on to the defender, boss Owen Coyle understands that he may be resigned to losing one of their star players.
