Defender Andreas Christensen has said that his main focus is playing first-team football with Borussia Monchengladbach, rather than his future with Chelsea.
Last summer, Christensen signed a two-year loan deal with the Bundesliga outfit and he ended his first season in Germany by being voted as the club's player of the season.
It has previously been suggested that Chelsea plan to include the Danish international in their squad for the 2017-18 campaign, but Christensen has insisted that he is only concentrating on his final 12 months with Monchengladbach.
The 20-year-old told Goal.com: "The main thing is to play. That's the main thing that I want for my future. It is all about playing football and that's it.
"[Playing at Chelsea] is an ambition of mine, to play over there in the first team - but right now I am not thinking about the future.
"I am not thinking about Chelsea and what they are doing and what I am doing. I am focusing on what Borussia is doing. I am just really looking forward to playing games and hopefully qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League."
Christensen made 39 appearances for Monchengladbach in all competitions last season.
