Newcastle United defender Fabricio Colocinni has told his teammates to "keep going" for fifth place in the Premier League in his absence.
Coloccini, who was injured at the Hawthorns a week ago, will watch from the sidelines as the Magpies attempt to move level on points with Chelsea when Liverpool travel to the Sports Direct Arena this afternoon.
"We are ahead of Liverpool, which is good," he told the Sunderland Echo. "Now we're looking at Chelsea.
"We have eight games left, and we have to give our all if we are to take fifth place. The manager has said we have to be calm, and keep going.
"Qualifying for Europe is important for the fans, and it's important for the club and the players."
Meanwhile, Newcastle's James Perch has insisted that he is prepared to fill in for the Argentinian.
