Midfielder Conor Gallagher has revealed that he still feels part of Chelsea, despite spending the campaign on loan at Crystal Palace.
Despite now being 22 years of age, Gallagher is yet to make a first-team appearance at a club where he has come through the academy system.
However, the England international has starred for Crystal Palace this season, Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel suggesting in the past that he has enjoyed seeing how Gallagher performs ahead of returning to the Blues.
Although the player has been left to focus on enjoying a year at Selhurst Park, he says that his parent club have ensured that he still feels involved on more familiar territory.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Gallagher said: "Chelsea talk to me and keep an eye on me. They have loan staff who keep an eye on all the loan players so everyone feels like they're still part of the club.
"They speak to me, and they say what they think you can improve on or what you've done well, so I'm very fortunate to have Chelsea. It's nice. I haven't thought about my future at all. I just take every game as it comes, so I've not I've not thought too ahead at all."
Depending on how things pan out for Chelsea over the coming months, Gallagher is expected to feature for his boyhood club during 2022-23. body check tags ::
