Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has said that he has been delighted with the "attitude and behaviour" of John Terry since he was appointed as the club's new manager.
Terry appeared to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge until he was offered fresh terms by the club at the end of last season, and Conte has acknowledged that his captain has an important role to play both on and off the pitch.
The 46-year-old told reporters: "John is working very well, like the other players, and I am very happy with his attitude and behaviour.
"I know that he loves this team and this is very important because he can transfer his passion for this club to the other players and I think that John can play an important role this season both if he plays and if he doesn't."
Last night, Terry featured in the starting lineup as Chelsea recorded a 1-0 win over Liverpool.
