Roberto Di Matteo has played down speculation linking him with a managerial return to West Bromwich Albion.
The Italian, who is currently in interim charge of Chelsea, spent two seasons coaching the Baggies until 2011.
Despite appearing to be losing his battle to claim the Chelsea job on a permanent basis, Di Matteo has suggested that he has no intention of signing on again at the Hawthorns.
"In my life I have gone back to an ex-girlfriend and it didn't work out," the 41-year-old replied when asked about the West Brom vacancy.
West Brom are seeking a new manager following Roy Hodgson's decision to take charge of England.
