Chelsea interim coach Roberto Di Matteo has insisted that Fernando Torres "deserves all the credit" after the striker scored a hat-trick in Sunday's 6-1 win over Queens Park Rangers.
The Spaniard added to his memorable midweek goal against Barcelona with a trio of strikes against a hapless Rangers at Stamford Bridge.
Despite finding goals hard to come by following last January's £50m move from Liverpool, Di Matteo believes that Torres is now coming good.
"He deserves all the credit," the Italian told Sky Sports News. "He's been working hard and the goals didn't always come but we were always pleased with his attitude and his work rate.
"The strikers eventually needed to score the goals and it's good that he scored for us."
The win means that the Blues are now just one point off the Champions League places.
