Chelsea striker Diego Costa has claimed that his relationship with Jose Mourinho is "great", despite recently appearing to throw a bib in his manager's direction in an act of frustration.
The 27-year-old spent two consecutive games out of the starting lineup, one of which was for Chelsea's goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
During the game, Costa threw his bib behind him in frustration after learning that he would not be used by Mourinho, but the striker has insisted that all is well with the manager now.
"The thing with the bib is done - it's over," The Guardian quotes Costa as saying. "I was wrong, but the relationship with Mourinho is great, we get along very well. There are things that I have to control, but it was an impulse. In no way was it to hit him. If I threw the bib at him it wouldn't have missed because he was very close."
Costa returned to the team for last night's 2-0 win over Porto in the Champions League.
