Eden Hazard has admitted that he and his Chelsea teammates were tired out by their 2-1 win at Newcastle United but insisted that the Blues "never give up".
The Belgium international, on his first club start this season, scored a 76th-minute penalty before substitute Joselu levelled with a header at St James' Park.
Late on in the game, however, Marcos Alonso's shot took a deflection off DeAndre Yedlin to give Chelsea all three points.
"Everyone was thinking to draw when they scored but we are Chelsea and we never give up," Hazard told BBC Sport at full time.
"We did well, created a lot of chances and we deserved to win. I feel tired tonight, the whole team is tired but we have the points."
Hazard's goal was his 70th for Chelsea in the Premier League, overtaking Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - who scored 69 - in third.
