Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has claimed that he and his teammates are still capable of winning the Premier League title despite their torrid start to the campaign.
In 10 top-flight games, Jose Mourinho's men have won just three, drawn two and suffered five defeats, the latest of which was a 2-1 loss to West Ham United.
The Blues, who won the title comfortably last season, are 15th in the table, five points above the relegation zone and 11 points adrift of current leaders Manchester City.
Despite Chelsea's current predicament, Fabregas still holds hope of successfully defending the English crown.
"I'm sure we can still win the league," Fabregas told Match of the Day magazine. "We just have to get our confidence back, win a few games on the trot and from there we'll see what happens. In the Premier League anyone can lose points to anyone."
Chelsea will face Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, in a game that could spell the end for Mourinho if his side fail to beat the Reds.
