Former Premier League official Dermot Gallagher has claimed that West Ham United should have been awarded a penalty against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
During the closing stages at Stamford Bridge, N'Golo Kante slid in to challenge Marko Arnautovic and the referee decided that the Frenchman had played the ball.
However, while acknowledging the difficulty behind making the call, Gallagher has said that the Hammers should have received a spot kick.
Gallagher told Sky Sports News: "Toughest decision of the weekend for a referee. The argument is, does [Kante] get the man first? I think he does get Arnautovic and then he plays the ball to the left.
"Because of where the ball travels, the referee is convinced that Kante has played that ball. Everything the referee sees tells him that Kante got that ball."
The incident came with the scoreline at 1-1, which proved to be the final result.
