Chelsea are reportedly set to offer the vacant manager's job to Graham Potter.
After announcing the sacking of Thomas Tuchel on Wednesday morning, Chelsea have moved quickly to find the German's successor.
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with the vacant position as well as ex-Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.
However, Potter appears to be Chelsea's number one choice after the Blues were granted permission by Brighton & Hove Albion to speak to the 47-year-old.
According to the Daily Mail, following discussions with Chelsea's co-controlling owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, Potter is set to be offered the manager's role.
The report indicates that should Potter accept the job, he will take charge in time for Chelsea's Premier League meeting with Fulham on Saturday.
Potter's current Brighton contract has a reported a £12m release clause, which could rise in value depending on the number of backroom staff that follow the former Swansea City manager to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are currently in sixth position in the Premier League, while they are bottom of their Champions League group after losing to Dinamo Zagreb in Tuchel's final game in charge. body check tags ::
