West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic insists that Chelsea were wrongly awarded a late penalty in their 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has hit out at the referee's decision to award opponents Chelsea a penalty in the dying moments of their clash at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

The Hammers were leading 2-1 and on course to move to fourth in the Premier League until the 89th minute, when the Blues were given a penalty after Michail Antonio was adjudged to have fouled Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the area.

Cesc Fabregas successfully dispatched from the spot to rescue a point for Chelsea and leave Bilic's side one point off the Champions League places.

"We deserved to win the game. We were the better team apart from a small period in the second half," Bilic told reporters in his post-match press conference. "The way we conceded the goal at the end... I am gutted to concede. It is not a penalty.

"We have to play a replay against Manchester United [in the FA Cup] because of a bad decision and again now. It is not a penalty. He is not even near the line.

"We are not getting these decisions. I am talking about where the contact is made, he wasn't sliding so it shouldn't be difficult for the referee. We should have two points more. We are gutted. Proud, but gutted."

The result extended the Hammers' undefeated league run to five games heading into the international break.
