Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink admits that John Terry's 98th-minute equaliser against Everton was offside.

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has admitted that John Terry's 98th-minute equaliser against Everton should not have stood.

The Blues captain was offside when he earned his team a dramatic 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Hiddink has also suggested that he spoke to referee Mike Jones and told him to add more minutes to the seven allocated for injury time.

"There was seven minutes extra time - I said, 'ref, okay, they are celebrating at least one minute in the corner'," Hiddink told Match of the Day.

"I will not deny it - it was offside because Oscar touched the ball, even though John was technically perfect [with his finish]. I took some risks [at 2-0 down] and it paid off in a spectacular way. The team is very resilient."

Everton manager Roberto Martinez said after the game that he was 'very angry' about Terry's late equaliser.
