Interim Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has praised Diego Costa for the way that he responded to being booed by the club's fans last week.
Costa was one of a number of Chelsea players to receive a negative reception by the home fans at Stamford Bridge during their 3-1 win over Sunderland seven days ago after reports that he had played a part in Jose Mourinho being sacked by the club.
However, the Spaniard scored twice to help his side to a 2-2 draw against in-form Watford this afternoon, and Hiddink was happy with the striker's reaction.
"His reaction was good, when he was booed he had a very good reaction as a professional," Hiddink told reporters.
"I think that made him think 'how should I go on?'. And he showed how he will go on today. He focused himself on what he is good at and not wasting extra energy where he shouldn't waste it. He showed it with two goals."
Costa will not be available for Monday's clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford, however, having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against the Hornets.
