Guus Hiddink has been appointed as Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala's new manager.
The former Chelsea coach, who was rumoured to be in contention for a potential return to Stamford Bridge, has signed an 18-month contract with the mega-rich club.
Reports emerged claiming that the 65-year-old was closing in on a move to the Russian side following the departure of Yury Krasnozhan.
Former England boss Fabio Capello was also a reported target for Anzhi, which raises questions over the Italian's next move in his career.
Before being appointed Anzhi's boss, Hiddink was linked with the vacant managerial role at the Three Lions.
