Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has refuted claims that the club are considering appointing Andre Villas-Boas as manager.
Villas-Boas was sacked as manager of Chelsea on Sunday after just nine months in charge, leading to speculation that he would once again follow in the footsteps of his mentor Jose Mourinho by moving to the San Siro.
These rumours have been fuelled by Inter's recent poor form and the resulting questions over current manager Claudio Ranieri's reign. However, Moratti insisted that there was no truth to the reports.
"Villas-Boas? These are only rumours, only rumours," said the Italian.
Inter currently sit seventh in Serie A, having picked up just one point from their last six games.
