Chelsea are reportedly ready to appoint John Terry as a coach for the club's academy players.
The Blues legend recently spent time as assistant manager to Dean Smith at Aston Villa before stepping down from that role in July.
Terry remains keen to secure his first managerial position as soon as possible, most likely in the EFL.
However, as first reported by Chelsea content creator Simon Phillips in November and now by The Athletic, the 41-year-old is on the brink of a return to Cobham.
The report claims that Terry will be solely working with players in the academy with former teammates Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini, who hold backroom positions at Stamford Bridge, said to have played a pivotal role in Terry's impending return.
The former centre-back was last associated with Chelsea back at the end of the 2016-17 campaign having made 717 appearances for the club. body check tags ::
