New Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz has reportedly requested the number 29 shirt at Stamford Bridge next season.
The Germany international joined in a big-money deal earlier this month, penning a five-year contract to keep him at the club until 2025.
Havertz is yet to be assigned a shirt number since his switch from Bayer Leverkusen and had been tipped to take the number 10 vacated by Willian.
However, The Athletic claims that Havertz has instead asked for the number 29 which he also wore at Leverkusen.
That shirt is currently occupied by Fikayo Tomori at Stamford Bridge, but the defender is on the verge of joining Everton on loan.
Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic is expected to take the vacant number 10 shirt, having worn the number 22 last season.
