Chelsea have announced that N'Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not travel with the rest of the squad for the pre-season tour of the United States.

Chelsea are heading off to the United States for a pre-season tour, which will include games against Club America, Charlotte FC and Arsenal.

Ben Chilwell will travel after returning from injury, and he will be joined in the 29-man squad by Conor Gallagher who spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace.

However, Kante and Loftus-Cheek will not be joining their team-mates on the trip after the Blues confirmed that the pair are unable to travel due to their "COVID vaccination status".

While Armando Broja has also not travelled with the squad, the Albania international is set to fly out to join the pre-season tour next week.

After completing the tour of the United States, Chelsea will head to Italy to face Udinese in their final friendly of pre-season.
