Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has said that young striker Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a symbol of the bright future that awaits the Blues.
The highly-rated 19-year-old made his full Premier League debut in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Liverpool, before being replaced by Nemanja Matic on the hour mark.
Nevertheless, Mourinho was impressed by what he saw and hopes that the "fantastic experience" offers the youngster an insight into the level needed to succeed at the highest level.
"I think he did well but I think it's better for him to pay 60 minutes and leave in good condition than stay until the end," the Portuguese said to reporters.
"It was better for him to leave but it was a fantastic experience for him to feel the intensity and the speed, the way he has to think and has to compete.
"It was a fantastic experience for him and I'm happy. He's going to be a Chelsea player, that's no doubt, and we have other kids I believe can do it."
Loftus-Cheek finished the contest with 100% passing accuracy and 100% tackle success.
