Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has attempted to play down the importance of his side's match with Manchester City.
The Blues travel to the Etihad Stadium already two points behind Manuel Pellegrini's team, but Mourinho has insisted that Sunday's result won't mean "anything significant" for the title race.
The 52-year-old told reporters: "We are speaking about 38 matches. It is an eternity, a marathon that started last week.
"I cannot say it's not crucial, I cannot say it's not very, very, very important. They are title contenders so three points are important, but I cannot say that a win will mean anything significant."
Chelsea began their campaign with a 2-2 draw at home to Swansea City, while City eased to a 3-0 triumph away at West Bromwich Albion.
