Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that captain John Terry will be offered a new contract at the club.
The 34-year-old has been in fine form this season, helping his side to not only top the Premier League table, but also post the best defensive record in the division.
Terry has also scored in his last two matches and, with his contract due to expire in June, Mourinho has insisted that there are "no doubts" over the centre-back's future.
"It's a formality. There are no doubts that he is going to get another contract. I know that, he knows that," he told reporters.
"We in the club, in the board, we know that and I think also you have to feel that. Without us confirming anything, you have to feel that.
"He's a very important player in the team so the next contract sooner or later will come."
Terry has scored 59 goals in 634 appearances for Chelsea and captained the side more than 500 times during his career.
