Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly decided that he will keep Jose Mourinho as manager, as long as the supporters continue backing him.
The Portuguese coach has had a torrid season with the Blues, who currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, just four points above the relegation zone after 11 games.
Mourinho comfortably guided Chelsea to the league title last season, but they have only managed to claim three victories in the top flight so far.
Abramovich sacked Mourinho in 2007, calling an end to his first spell at Stamford Bridge, but according to the Daily Star, the Russian billionaire is willing to be patient with the successful manager as long as he keeps the supporters on side.
As well as the negative results on the pitch, Mourinho has been in trouble with the Football Association a handful of times due to his criticism of referees.
In the past month, the 52-year-old has been fined a total of £90,000 and was yesterday hit with a one-match stadium ban, which will come into force for next weekend's league match away at Stoke City.
