Ramires: 'Guus Hiddink forced Chelsea exit'

Ramires says that he left Chelsea earlier this year because he had very little chance of playing in interim boss Guus Hiddink's team.

Ramires has claimed that he decided to end his association with Chelsea in January because interim boss Guus Hiddink did not rate him as a player.

The Brazilian completed a £25m switch to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning, having spent the previous six years at Stamford Bridge.

Asked by The Sun why he had opted for such a move, the 29-year-old insisted that unlike under previous boss Jose Mourinho, he was not given a fair chance of featuring as part of Hiddink's team.

"One of the big reasons I left Chelsea was the arrival of the new coach," said Ramires.

"It wasn't just because I had a good relationship with Jose. But, when he was in charge, I knew there was a chance of playing and that the fight for a place in the team was always open.

"Yet when Hiddink arrived, he took me out of the side for no reason. I couldn't understand why because I had played well and fought hard for a team that was having difficulties. He didn't like me as a player or my way and decided very rashly that he wasn't going to give me an opportunity to fight for a place in his team."

Ramires scored 37 goals during his 246 outings for the Blues.
