Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres has likened his stint at Chelsea to attempting to swim with clothes on.
The Spaniard joined Chelsea from Liverpool for £50m in January 2011, a British transfer record fee at the time.
However, the 30-year-old struggled with consistency, scoring just 20 goals in 110 Premier League games, and headed to AC Milan on loan last summer before returning to his boyhood team Atletico in December.
Regarding his time at Stamford Bridge, the striker told Spanish newspaper El Pais: "You end up in a situation where things have not gone well for weeks, or for years. That is like swimming in wet clothes.
"I know how I am, and I am good. In the end these doubts disappear, but then others come again."
Torres starts on the bench for tonight's Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
