Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has praised Tottenham Hotspur for their appointment of Antonio Conte, while insisting that he is unconcerned about the impact that the Italian could have in North London.
After losing five of their opening 10 Premier League fixtures, Spurs made the decision to replace Nuno Espirito Santo with former Blues boss Conte earlier this week.
While Tuchel has acknowledged that his arrival can only be a positive for the Premier League, the German reiterated that he was fully focused on his job at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Tuchel said: "Of course it is good news for the Premier League. He's one of the best managers in the world, look at his records and look at his titles.
"He will make it super tough to play against Tottenham, I'm absolutely sure. But I'm in a happy place and not concerned about what other people do."
Leaders Chelsea already sit 10 points clear of Spurs in the top-flight standings, helped by a 3-0 victory at their rivals earlier in the season. body check tags ::
