As many as 10 parties are reportedly interested in buying Chelsea from current owner Roman Abramovich.
The Russian oligarch announced last week that he had put the European champions up for sale amid fear of sanctions following the invasion of Ukraine.
Abramovich has reportedly slapped a £3bn asking price on Chelsea, with the 55-year-old insisting that the club's new owners must continue in the same vein with regards to squad investment and stadium development.
According to Sky Sports News, up to 10 potential bidders are now considering offers, with the bulk of the interest coming from the USA, but there are several complicating factors.
The report adds that Russia's invasion of Ukraine could put billionaires off pursuing deals with Abramovich, although he cannot be sanctioned by the UK Government until an established link to president Vladimir Putin is proven.
A consortium led by Todd Boehly and Hansjorg Wyss are thought to be the frontrunners to buy the club, but it remains to be seen if the duo will bow to Abramovich's £3bn demands. body check tags ::
