Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that he is "not sure" if Nicolas Anelka will remain at Stamford Bridge after his contract expires in the summer.
The Frenchman has seen limited opportunities at the club following the arrivals of Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku and the emergence of Daniel Sturridge, and is eager to move on, according to the manager.
"Nico as a person is very, very happy, he belongs to Chelsea in the last year of his contract, performing," Villas-Boas told reporters.
"We will make our efforts for him to renew but Nico has his own decision to make and I am not sure he will be willing."
Anelka, who joined Chelsea from Bolton in 2008, has scored 51 goals in 119 appearances for the club.
