West Bromwich Albion claimed a surprise 3-0 victory over 10-man Chelsea in their Premier League match this evening.

Saido Berahino curled a strike into the bottom corner to give the Baggies an early lead, before Cesc Fabregas was sent off for kicking the ball at Chris Brunt.

Berahino scored his second of the match from the penalty spot shortly after half time, before Brunt drilled in a low strike to wrap up the three points and end Chelsea's 16-game unbeaten run.

WEST BROM:

Goal

Boaz Myhill: The keeper was not overly tested, but he dealt well with everything that came his way. He palmed away a free kick from Luis before the break and then made a point-blank save late on to deny Matic. (8/10)

Defence

Craig Dawson: Was not able to get forward too much down his flank due to the threat of Hazard. However, he kept the Belgian quiet for large spells and was solid throughout.(7/10)

Jonas Olsson: Battling display from the defender who was never afraid to put his foot in, although he was fortunate not to pick up a second booking. (7/10)

Gareth McAuley: Fine performance from the Irishman, who was involved in a scrap in the first half with Costa that led to the red card for Fabregas. He was strong in the air and stopped Chelsea from getting through the West Brom backline. (7/10)

Joleon Lescott: Experienced performance by the former England international. Was reliable throughout and rarely beaten down his side of the pitch. (7/10)

Midfield

James Morrison: Worked hard for his team throughout the match and always used the ball well whenever they were in possession. (7/10)

Claudio Yacob: The Argentine produced a tireless display in the heart of the midfield. He made a number of vital tackles and was an inspiration to the rest of his teammates. (8/10)

Darren Fletcher: Another fine display from the Albion midfielder. He led by example and showed his experience to help lead his side to victory. (7/10)

Chris Brunt: Worked hard for his team all evening and grabbed the third goal to seal the win with a powerful low drive past Courtois. (8/10)

Callum McManaman: Threatened early on with a decent effort that was turned behind by the keeper, but he faded as the game wore on and was replaced by Gardner shortly after the break. (6/10)

Attack

Saido Berahino: Took his first goal brilliantly with a first-time strike from outside the box, before calmly slotting in a penalty. Albion fans will be hoping that it is not the last they see of him, as his goals have been vital for them this season. (8/10)

Substitutes

Craig Gardner: Replaced McManaman and put in a typically energetic performance. (7/10)

Brown Ideye: Came on for the closing stages and saw little of the ball. (6/10)

Chris Baird: Was unable to make any impact after arriving in the 89th minute. (6/10)

CHELSEA:

Goal

Thibaut Courtois: Poor display from the Chelsea keeper. He allowed Brunt's shot to beat him at his near post and he looked slightly nervous throughout the evening. (5/10)

Defence

Branislav Ivanovic: Cannot be held accountable for any of the goals that his side conceded, but he failed to make his usual impact coming forward from right-back. (6/10)

John Terry: Made a rash challenge to give away the penalty, after allowing Berahino to get in behind him far too easily. He was not at his best, which has been a rarity in a season where he has generally been regarded as the league's finest defender. (5/10)

Gary Cahill: Caught out along with Terry for the second goal. He also failed to close down Berahino for the opener and did not enjoy his greatest evening in a Chelsea shirt. (5/10)

Filipe Luis: Had a decent free kick saved by Myhill in the first half, but it was his only significant contribution in an otherwise underwhelming display. (6/10)

Midfield

Ruben Loftus-Cheek: The youngster looked assured whenever he was in possession and used the ball smartly throughout the match. He didn't offer too much in the final third, but he has shown enough quality to suggest that he will break into the first team next season. (6/10)

Nemanja Matic: Made a number of tackles and put in plenty of effort as always. He helped Chelsea to dominate possession, but he was poor going forward and fired a couple of shots wide, before seeing a point-blank effort saved by the keeper. (6/10)

Cesc Fabregas: The Spaniard was shown a straight red card for kicking the ball at the face of Brunt. It was a moment of madness from a player who has had such a brilliant season for the Blues and he could now be facing a three-match ban for his actions. (3/10)

Attack

Eden Hazard: Always tried to get involved and came close with a shot that deflected inches over in the first half. It wouldn't quite happen for him though, as West Brom quickly got players around him to stop him in his tracks. (6/10)

Loic Remy: Had Chelsea's best chance of the match with a stinging drive from the edge of the box that crashed against the post. The Frenchman could not make too much of an impact playing in a deeper role than usual and was replaced by Brown late on. (6/10)

Diego Costa: Poor display from the Brazilian on his return from injury. He was lucky not to be sent off for an incident involving McAuley and mustered just one shot on goal before he was replaced by Cuadrado just past the hour mark. (5/10)

Substitutes

Isaiah Brown: Struggled to get into the match following his late arrival. (6/10)

Nathan Ake: Showed some neat touches on the ball, but again made little difference. (6/10)

Juan Cuadrado: Once again the Colombian endured another frustrating night for the Blues and picked up a yellow card for a poor challenge on Lescott. (5/10)
