Chelsea interim boss Bruno Saltor could be boosted by the returns of Raheem Sterling and Wesley Fofana for the visit of Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening.
Both men missed the weekend's 2-0 loss to Aston Villa with hamstring problems, and that result triggered the sacking of Graham Potter on Sunday evening.
However, all of Cesar Azpilicueta (knee), Thiago Silva (knee) and Armando Broja (knee) are absent, while the game may also come too soon for Edouard Mendy (finger) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (back).
With Mendy yet to be considered for selection again, Kepa Arrizabalaga can look forward to another start in goal, while Fofana's possible return could push Marc Cucurella down to the bench.
Kalidou Koulibaly should not be in any danger of demotion, but Benoit Badiashile will surely be recalled, allowing Reece James to take up a more familiar role at right-wing back in place of Ruben Loftus-Cheek as Ben Chilwell holds his spot on the left.
N'Golo Kante came through most of the second half unscathed against Villa - his first Premier League appearance since August - and the Frenchman should now be considered for a start in place of Mateo Kovacic, who has not enjoyed the best of luck with injuries this term either.
Enzo Fernandez will welcome Kante back to the middle of the park, while Mason Mount has recovered from a pubic problem and is now a candidate to replace the ineffective Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Christian Pulisic fought off a nasty cold to come off the bench at the weekend alongside Noni Madueke, but Kai Havertz and Joao Felix should keep the duo at bay for the time being.
Chelsea possible starting lineup: Kepa; Badiashile, Koulibaly, Fofana; James, Fernandez, Kante, Chilwell; Mount, Havertz; Felix
