Chelsea come from behind to claim a 3-1 win over Leicester City as they move within three points of the Premier League title.

Chelsea have moved a step closer to clinching the Premier League title courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes threatened to extend their winning run to five games after taking the lead through Marc Albrighton, but Jose Mourinho's side fought back from a sluggish first-half performance to move within three points of the title.

Leicester were certainly the more threatening of the two sides for much of the first half, and only a poor touch from Leonardo Ulloa ended a promising move following a defence-splitting pass from Esteban Cambiasso.

Optimism soon turned to frustration for Nigel Pearson, who was forced to take off both Andy King and Robert Huth due to injury.

However, the Foxes continued to enjoy success on the pitch, and a sliced effort from Didier Drogba which drifted wide proved to be the closest the visitors would come inside the opening 45 minutes.

Mourinho's side survived a spell of pressure when Petr Cech kept out a low volley from Paul Konchesky at the back post, before Gary Cahill made a crucial block to deny Jamie Vardy.

The Foxes refused to be denied, and they broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time when Vardy sprinted into space to cross for Albrighton, who capitalised on a slip from Cesar Azpilicueta to slot home.

Chelsea responded impressively after the break, and they were back on level terms three minutes into the second half when Drogba fired in after Branislav Ivanovic had found the room to pull a cross back for the Ivorian.

Leicester struggled to cope with the improvement from the visitors, and they were given further warnings as Drogba sent a shot over before Cesc Fabregas failed to add a finishing touch to Willian's inviting cross.

Drogba and Willian both fired shots just off target before the hour mark as Chelsea continued to ask more questions of the Leicester defence.

It looked like the leaders would be left frustrated, but they took the lead 11 minutes from time when Terry tapped home after Kasper Schmeichel had made a stunning save from Cahill's header.

Any hopes of a Leicester response were dashed by Ramires, who wrapped up the win in fantastic style by picking out the top corner with a powerful strike after good work from Fabregas.

The result leaves Chelsea just one win away from claiming the title, while Leicester remain one point clear of the relegation zone.
