Moussa Sissoko scores a 90th-minute winner as Newcastle United come from 2-1 down to beat Chelsea 3-2 at St James' Park this afternoon.

Moussa Sissoko scored a 90th-minute winner to hand Newcastle United a 3-2 win over Chelsea in a dramatic match at St James' Park this afternoon.

The hosts enjoyed the first chance of the match as Juan Mata and Ashley Cole linked up to give Frank Lampard a shooting opportunity, but the England international couldn't keep his volley down.

Demba Ba came close to breaking the deadlock against his old club when he latched on to Lampard's pass, only to see his initial effort saved by Tim Krul.

His header from the rebound drifted inches wide of the empty net and resulted in a facial injury that saw him forced off.

Newcastle had a great chance of their own immediately after as Yohan Cabaye's shot hit the back of Papiss Cisse's legs, putting the Senegalese striker clean through on goal. He couldn't finish the chance, however, as Petr Cech made a fine save.

The Magpies did take the lead just before the break as Davide Santon's cross found Jonas Gutierrez, who beat John Terry in the air to nod home.

The Blues were level 10 minutes after the restart as Lampard hammered a trademark shot that Krul could do nothing about.

The visitors then took the lead six minutes later as Mata hit a delightful first-time shot that left Krul helpless once again.

The lead only lasted another six minutes, however, as Sissoko followed up Yoan Gouffran's parried effort to roll the ball into the empty net.

Sissoko almost restored the hosts' advantage soon after when he burst into the box, only to see his shot tipped wide by Cech.

Sissoko did get his second of the game in the 90th minute, however, as he smashed Santon's lay-off into the corner of the net to send the home fans wild.
