Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly prepared to quit Juventus for Chelsea, but intends to wait until Antonio Conte is given his marching orders.
The 50-year-old is rumoured to be one of the leading candidates to succeed Conte in the summer, along with former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique.
Allegri has added fuel to the fire by confirming that he intends to move abroad for his next job once leaving the Allianz Stadium, telling The Telegraph: "Certainly. In Italy, [I'm] finished."
A separate report in The Sun suggests that Allegri, who also took over from Conte at Juve, will step down from his position when the Chelsea job officially becomes available.
That is unlikely to before the summer, though, as the Blues still have an FA Cup semi-final against Southampton to prepare for later this month.
