AC Milan chief Franco Baresi has confirmed that his side want to sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent deal during this summer's transfer window.
The 23-year-old joined the Italian giants on loan from Chelsea in January and has been a regular since arriving at San Siro, already making 12 appearances in all competitions.
Milan will be able to sign the centre-back on a permanent basis for €28m (£23.9m) this summer, and Baresi has said that the Serie A giants "will do everything possible" to acquire the Englishman on a long-term deal.
"We will do everything possible to sign him on a permanent deal," Baresi told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Two months are remaining until the end of the season, and it's not only up to Milan.
"Tomori is imposing himself with talent and determination. He has shown no fear playing in a new league. He can potentially become a great champion. I hope he lives up to expectations."
A recent report claimed that Milan had been delighted with the defender's performances since his arrival, while Chelsea regretted the decision to let him leave in the middle of the campaign. body check tags ::
