AC Milan have reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign Gary Cahill from Chelsea in January.
Cahill has fallen down the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri, making only six appearances across all competitions so far this season with just one of those coming in the Premier League.
The club captain is eager to leave Stamford Bridge in search of more regular football, and Milan had been considering a move for him alongside Chelsea teammates Cesc Fabregas and Andreas Christensen.
However, Calciomercato reports that the Italian giants have decided against making an approach for Cahill in order to focus on bringing younger players to San Siro.
The 32-year-old's agent is still searching for potential suitors, though, and a number of clubs in Turkey are thought to be interested in signing the former England international.
Cahill joined Chelsea in 2012 and has gone on to make almost 300 appearances for the club across all competitions.
