Chelsea will reportedly need to make David Alaba their highest-earning player if they are to land the Bayern Munich ace next year.
The Blues are believed to be one of four clubs interested in signing the Austria international, along with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Alaba is set to become a free agent at the end of the season and therefore boasts high bargaining power, knowing that he can be signed without a transfer fee involved.
Bayern have yet to rule out tying the versatile defender down to a new deal, but German outlet Bild reports that he is demanding £350,000 a week.
That would make the 28-year-old Chelsea's highest earner should they persuade him to join them over Madrid, Barca and PSG, with Kai Havertz next on the list with a rumoured £310,000-a-week salary.
Alaba has spent the past decade as a first-team regular for Bayern, making over 400 appearances for the reigning German and European champions in all competitions.
