Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Matheus Nunes this summer, but believe their current financial situation could make a deal implausible.
The 24-year-old joined the Black Country club from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon in August and has featured heavily for a Wolves team looking to avoid relegation under Julen Lopetegui.
Nunes's side are currently 13th in the Premier League, seven points clear of the relegation zone following back-to-back home wins against Chelsea and Brentford over the past fortnight.
According to the Daily Mail, La Liga leaders Barcelona want to use their relationship with agent Jorge Mendes to lure Nunes to Camp Nou, however they understand their financial woes could make a deal hard to complete.
The report adds that the Wolves midfielder is also on the radar of Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle United - all teams who look set to have greater budgets than the Catalan club in this upcoming window.
Barcelona continue their hunt for the La Liga title when they face Atletico Madrid at home on Sunday afternoon - Xavi's men are 11 points clear of Real Madrid with nine matches left to play. body check tags ::
