Barcelona 'keeping tabs on Saul Niguez situation'

:Headline: Barcelona 'keeping tabs on Saul Niguez situation':
Barcelona are reportedly monitoring developments with the future of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, who is currently on loan at Chelsea.

Barcelona are reportedly open to signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez during the summer transfer window.

Saul is currently spending a season on loan at Chelsea, where he has made seven starts and nine substitute appearances in all competitions.

Given his lack of game time, it has already been widely documented that the 27-year-old will return to his parent club later in 2022, but it appears that the versatile player will have alternative options.

According to Sport, Barcelona hold an interest in signing Saul with manager Xavi said to be an admirer of his ability.

Although the Catalan giants are currently dealing with financial issues, the report says that Atletico are due to pay money to Barcelona for Antoine Griezmann during the summer.

A scenario may arise where Atletico could offload Saul as payment for the World Cup winner, something which may suit all parties. body check tags ::
