New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has reportedly given Thomas Tuchel control of transfers.
Before the American took over at Stamford Bridge, transfer decisions were made by the club in conjunction with the manager.
The previous transfer policy gave the club hierarchy a greater say on transfers than Tuchel and his predecessors, but that looks to have changed under the new ownership.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are expected to adopt the policy used by their Premier League rivals, Manchester City and Liverpool, with Tuchel set to be given greater influence on potential deals.
The report indicates that the Chelsea boss will continue to work with sporting director Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech who is the club's technical and performance advisor, but they will only be targeting the players that Tuchel requests.
Chelsea could be in for a busy summer, with Ousmane Dembele and Matthijs de Ligt among those that have been linked with the club, while Romelu Lukaku could be heading out of the exit door. body check tags ::
