Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta to Camp Nou remains a leading target for Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly determined to bring Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta to Camp Nou.

The 32-year-old remains a key figure for the Blues, making 14 appearances in all competitions, but he only has a contract at Stamford Bridge until next June.

There have been suggestions that Chelsea have offered the Spain international a new deal until June 2023, but Azpilicueta is believed to be weighing up his options.

According to Marca, Barcelona boss Xavi views the former Osasuna youngster as the ideal player to boost his options at right-back for the 2022-23 campaign.

The report claims that Xavi is unconvinced by Sergino Dest and Sergi Roberto, while Dani Alves is unlikely to remain at the club as a player beyond June 2022.

Azpilicueta has made 443 appearances for Chelsea since arriving from Marseille in 2012, contributing 14 goals and 56 assists in the process.
